What it is
A Chrome extension that drives the tab you are looking at with TypeSafe Jev, a decision model that picks the next click, keystroke or dropdown value in a few hundred milliseconds instead of generating text. It is a Manifest V3 port of browser-use/jev-ultrafast: same observation format, same questions, same execution rules. Community project, not affiliated with TypeSafe or Browser Use.
What the README says it does
- Your browser, your sessions. It runs in the tab you already have open, with your cookies and logins, on your normal Chrome profile. Nothing to install besides the extension; no Python, no Playwright, no second browser.
- Watch it and step it. Badges show what the model sees, a status bar shows the decision and its latency, Step executes one decision at a time, Copy trace exports the run for a bug report.

Getting started
From the README:
git clone https://github.com/chy4pro/jev-for-chrome.git
cd jev-for-chrome
npm install
npm run buildWhere the decision sits
jev-for-chrome calls the hosted decision API rather than running its own weights. That keeps the project small and means its behaviour moves whenever the vendor ships a new model version. It also means an API key and a network round trip sit in the path of every decision.
Models it references: Jev.
How active it is
Created 2026-09-18, last pushed 2026-10-01, 46 stars and 12 forks when we read it on 2026-11-02. Everything in this category is weeks old at most, so a stale push date means something different here than it would on a mature project. Check the repository before you depend on it.
Find out what your data actually supports
We turn your historical decisions into a frozen test set, then tell you which model, which threshold, and how much of it you can safely automate.
